The Mercy Gallery at the Richmond Art Center at the Loomis Chaffee School in Windsor, CT. Curated by Elizabeth Whyte Schulze, “Woven” features the works of Rebecca Siemering, Nancy Moore Bess, Nancy Koenigsberg, Mary Kasper, Lorrie Fredette and Schulze. The show presents an unusual range of materials used by the artists who weave, bind, fold and coil. The sculptures, vessels and wall hangings are constructed using industrial wire, discarded lottery tickets, hand dyed wool, pine needles, raffia, Japanese papers, and wax encrusted muslin.
